The chairs and table match and would make for a great dining set - they are good enough for a main dining table piece and also great for a kitchen set up, especially if you like the farmhouse, rustic look. The set of 8 ladderback chairs are the ultimate rustic look.
The table has been hand crafted from the finest oak and is solid and chunky with no wobbles. The legs are hand turned and very chunky linking the stretchers to the bottom. The apron to the table has refrectory style hand carved sections perhaps better illustrated by the close up photos. The table extends so you can make more space with it when required for dinner parties and the like. The table is offered in very good condition and sits eight chairs when unextended.
The table comes with a set of 8 oak ladderback as shown in the picture and they are a perfect match. This is a lovely set of French Country oak ladderback chairs with rush seats. They came from the Northern area of France. The chairs have a design which comes from a ladder rung shape on the back rest to the seat. The legs are gracefully curved with turned feet. They have stretchers from the front to the back. The color is a rich dark brown oak with a warm patina.
